Skirt 18

Can you tell which is me?

Skirt 18 is a pink cotton pleated skirt from the Gap. It was on sale, another purchase from living in the "bubble." It was on sale for $16.99 or something. I bought this skirt and many others when I finished my graduate coursework and started an internship at a museum. Over the course of two semesters, I had managed to lose 15 lbs and switch careers... sort of. I still teach, just in a different entity. I enjoy what I do and I am doing so much more in the community, but... we'll see.

Today's skirt is for Kate, who I will see later today at Happy Hour. I can't wait! I like today's skirt because it reminds me of Kate and this photo. We used to work together and this is from my last week at the office. All year, people kept confusing us. We couldn't figure it out and thought it was hilarious. We have similar features and the same impeccable taste in clothing, but we are discernable for sure. Might I add that she is a beautiful person, inside and out. But we had a lot of the same clothes and shoes, so that day we decided to dress the same. Same skirt, same shoes, same shirt. It was pretty funny. Actually, it was really funny and it still makes me laugh.
8 more hours!

So glad I had happy hour to look forward to tonight. After the day I had, I needed it. KT got some good skirt shots this evening. Unfortunately they are all on his camera.

It's Kate. I refuse to leave this comment anonymously (sp?) but now I forgot what I'd written before. Something about how I love you and this blog, it's the best idea ever. I had so much fun at happy hour! Oh yeah, and I love this blog.
