The 5th
Happy Cinco de Mayo! It's the 5th day of the 1st week of Skirt Project.
Today's skirt is green denim from the Gap. This skirt is about two years old. When I got this skirt I was living in a small over-priced apartment in the "bubble." It really is it's own little world. I accumulated most of my skirts at that time. I was alone for the first time and was surrounded by high-end shopping centers. It was cruel... morning coffee runs would end up costing $40 - $100, just by stopping in and "looking." I had this great walk-in closet at the time (every girl's dream) but it was less than half-full. It made me sad.
This skirt is fun, fits well and is comfortable. There are two perfect triangle folds in the front and back. It looks cute on the hanger, probably looks cute on. But I think there's too much fabric. I have three tiny spots of paint on it: white, yellow and blue. I like to wear this skirt when I work with kids. It's very teacher-y.
